The ruling in regards to the Jackson Estate vs. HBO has been given today…well, sort of.
It appears that Judge George H. Wu is in need of more information/evidence before a decision is made in regards to arbitration. The next hearing is due on June 24th 2019, with the decision expected on June 25th…no, we’re not joking.
In regards to venue, Judge Wu denied the Estate’s motion to remand the case to the Los Angeles Superior Court.
It would appear a quick conclusion isn’t going to happen, however the Judge’s request for more information as opposed to immediately denying arbitration is a clear sign that this isn’t over for the Estate.
